Piñera to The Hague

On the second anniversary of the Chilean social outbreak, several European-based social, political and human rights organizations joined forces to develop a series of activities and demonstrations to be held in the cities of Amsterdam and The Hague, in the Netherlands, to demand the trial of S. Piñera for his crimes against humanity at the International Criminal Court.

We demand truth, justice, reparation and guarantees of non-repetition for the systematic violations of Human Rights committed by agents of the Chilean State, and mandated by the criminal government of S. Piñera, against citizens, in the context of the Social Outbreak of October of 2019, which to this day are unpunished.

We also demand the immediate freedom of political prisoners, mostly young social fighters, arrested and kept in pre-trial detention until today, as a result of the criminalization of legitimate social protest.
